Crisis Averted: See How Four Heroic Men Rescue Sinking Mother and Baby
Feb. 13, 2016 1:12am
Tré Goins-Phillips

*** begin quote ***

The water may have been freezing and the task daunting, but that did not stop four men from heroically rescuing a woman and her baby from an icy Amsterdam canal.

*** end quote ***

WOW!

One guy was in his undies. That had to be freezing.

And, the car quickly went under, before the police arrived.

I’d say that was courageous. All sorts of <synonym for excrement> could have gone wrong.

Bravo to these “first responders”!

Doc Johnson was one of the four or five most important men in my life. He was a guide and a mentor to me and to so many others – more than a trainer but a good man who loved us and guided us to become the men and women we are today. Although I lived away from the campus, I would look forward to the moments that I had with him at the HOF and Reunions. He will be missed by all of us. Rest in Peace my friend and know that you have made a difference in more lives than you ever knew.

—–Original Message,

Good Morning Phil,

First , Thank you and this wonderful group of people who pray, comfort and assist all of us quietly in our time of need.

When Mom had the first heart event of her life in January at the age of 94 , it did not look good.

However , the devout strong willed Catholic woman she is with this groups assistance rallied,

She was weak but recovering and able to walk with a walker and just returned back to her apartment.

Just this past Thursday, her condition changed

We are working with the palliative care team so this part of of Mom’s journey on earth is a peaceful one.

I expect that she will pass in the next day or so to meet the Lord, her husband Tom and many other family members and friends

Please keep her and her family in your prayers .

It has been a difficult time for all of us as myself and siblings (eight total , six of whom are Jasper graduates) have since mid December lost one of their parents suddenly and two of our parents become seriously ill

I will be in touch.

Thanks and God Bless.

Tom

2016-Mar-04

Good Morning All,

George Skau asks for our prayers for a Classmate and good friend and his Wife.

John Cronin ’59 and his Wife, Ann, need our prayers. They are both going through some significant health issues. Please raise the volume for this Family as we pray that the MDs get their medical issues under control and help to return them to good health.

Prayer works. Thank you. God Bless.

JFACEBOOK: Murray, Paul F. [MC1988] opines on “safe spaces”

FROM FACEBOOK

Paul F. Murray shared Breitbart’s post.

Sigh…I went to Manhattan College in the Bronx. Safe Space? Dorney’s, The Green Leaf, The Terminal, and of cours , The Pinewood Bar, were my safe places. Politically correct crap was not in vogue but heavy alcohol consumption and loud music were de rigger. There were of course the epic knuckle to the mouth fests every weekend. Safe is a relative term. The candy ass pansy politically correct safe spacers are going to get their collective asses handed to them in the dog eat dog work a day world. A place where your feelings don’t count for shit but your work speaks volumes. A place where your boss does not care if he must fire you for crap work. So you politically correct candy asses keep whining. Your whining sense of self entitlement will put you at a severe disadvantage out there. No one owes you a damn thing and you will find that out when you get a job. Good luck whiners!

Comment    Murray and Breitbart ought to think of where they were handicapped. Murray and Breitbart ought to forget the Green Leaf et al and remember what they were given in de LaSalle chapel.
